April 27 to 30 - Preparing the topsides for painting

Another parental license of 10 working days so it is time again to go ahead with the h19 boat project, yuppi !!!!  I decided to paint the deck and topside with 2 component paint so the old paint has to be removed. Another sanding punishement...First I used grip 40 and than grip 100. It would be better to sand with grip 80 in the between to remove the grip 40 marks, nevertheless with some efford  the final aspect was fair enough.

My neighbour - Mr. António Assis

In the other side of the wall of the Algés Club (where my H19 is located) is the APL Yard (Porto de Lisboa) where among many other marine labours, Senhor António Assis (in the photo) handles his own workshop just 3 meters away from my boat. Besides the good company I profit a lot with his technical knowlegement about boats.

April 5 to 9 - Sanding the Hull (cont.)

This is the second week of Paternity license, the new rotins with Clara had been setled so i got some few hours for the another lady, so called H19 ! I continued removing old anti-fuling also in the place covered by the trailer arms. I tend to decide to use two-component deck paint, so its required to remove all the paint from the top side. Next week I will be working again after a DELIGHTFUL 4 week out of it.....

March 25 - MY DAUGTHER CLARA WAS BORN

At this thursday I wake up very early to work on the boat, but just for 2 hours because my wife had a doctor appointment at the hospital to follow the praignancy.

Nevertheless, instead of the doctor appointment my beautiful daughter Clara decided to be born !!!
I will stop working in the boat for some time, due to the demanding baby care life...
